Empowering Women With Toga Cultivation Technology

Abstract

A large number of idle lands and lack of productivity of women's groups is one of
the causes of poverty. How to reduce poverty can be done by optimizing Natural Resources and
Human Resources. This study aims to examine whether the empowerment activities of women's
groups through the technology of planting toga and its processing can reduce poverty. The
subject of this study consisted of 15 people with data collection methods, namely active
participation in toga planting and processing technology training, filling out questionnaires and
in-depth interviews and analyzing data using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results
of this study indicate that there was an increase in motivation and productivity of 80% of
women's groups who could increase income. This shows that there is an increase in productivity
resulting from the empowerment of women's groups that can reduce poverty and finally be able
to realize independent villages.
